Originally from the Chicago area, Matt has primarily resided in the Roaring Fork Valley since 1998. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago in January of 2013. Matt made The John Marshall Law Review and was active in moot court competitions and mock trials. While in law school Matt was an intern for the Cook County Public Defender’s Office’s Homicide Division.  After law school Matt returned to the valley and worked as a Deputy District Attorney in both Pitkin and Garfield Counties.

Matt became a member of Thomas D. Silverman, P.C. in June of 2014. Matt specializes in criminal law, but also practices in domestic relations and other civil matters. A former ski instructor and commercial raft guide, Matt still enjoys outdoor activities when he has the time. Matt also attempts to be a golfer, with mixed results.
