Joe Kirwan
Joe Kirwan has nearly 30 years experience as an attorney in Colorado and Kentucky. He has handled multiple death penalty cases as a defense attorney and as a prosecutor.
Joe graduated with honors from the University of Louisville in 1976 and from Brandeis School of Law in 1978.
He served as a Public Defender and as the Assistant Commonwealth’s attorney and has numerous years in private practice. He has enormous experience in criminal jury trials having tried murder, rape, sex abuse, drug, burglary and federal conspiracy cases, among others.
He has done appellate work and argued before the Kentucky Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals.
He was a Captain in the United States Army Reserve and served in the Judge Advocate General Corps.
